It is a very psychological ceremony that requires the few to bend and kiss their parents’ faces, hands and ft. Then their very own godparents (there are usually 2-10 couples of godparents per couple) come forward and give these people wedding breads, icons and often money. The godparents generally take changes reciting a regular text such as “May O God reduce you and bless you, may the family combine and take care of you, and supply you with happiness, good health and riches. ”

Once every one of the godparents have done this kind of, the groom’s father and mother and/or his brothers and sisters methodology the bride’s parents. That they ask the fogeys if their little princess will get married to the man that is standing prior to them. If they will approve, the groom has them with a bottle of horilka and drapes a rushnyky around their shoulder muscles. Then they exchange some bread.

This is an indicator that they are completely happy for the couple and wish all of them the best.

When the few comes in they are greeted by their family and friends who also give them marriage ceremony bread (korovai) and icons. In addition, they get bathed with little coins which is another classic image of virility.

At the conclusion of the nighttime, there is usually a large party area where everyone starts off dancing within a big circle. This is an exciting way to finish the night. Many of the tunes played during this time are polkas or waltzes and are incredibly lively and upbeat. Some of the guests will start delivering their ergonomic chairs to the dance floor.
